Depression Condition

According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the West Bengal (India) and adjoining Bangladesh almost stationary still persists. 

During next (48) hrs forecast

The Deep Depression is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards and may cross continue inland of India and weaken into a Depression during next 48 hours.

General caution

Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions with heavy rainfalls and strong wind during today noon upto 15-9-2024. Occassional squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8 - 10 feet off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts.

Advisory

Under the influence of deep depression, people should be awared heavy rain with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
