26-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and further intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 780 Nautical miles West of Coco Island(Myanmar), 430 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs MST today, the wave which is crossing over Central Myanmar areas may continue to move West-Northwestwards and to cross over Central Myanmar areas and Northwest  areas .

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 11st September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin  States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady,  Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
