22-12-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression ConditionD

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression that crossed Odisha coasts near Puri(India) has moved North-Northwestwards and continue crossing interior Odisha.

During next (24) hrs forecast

The deep depression is likely to continue to move nearly Northwestwards and gradually weaken into a Depression during next (12) hours. Thereafter it is likely to move West-Northwest and may cross continue inland of India.

General caution

Under the influence of deep depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States along with strong winds from tonight to 12-9-2024. Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 12 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

Under the influence of deep depression, people should be awared heavy rain with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
