BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India). It is likely to move gradually North-Northwestwards during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Yagi” over South China Sea has moved West slowly. It is likely continue to move Westwards and move through Hainan, China and make landfall over Upper Vientnam druing next 48 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scatterd in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
