22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Central and adjoining North Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and become more marked over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal on 30-8-2024. Thereafter, it is likely to intensify into a Depression on 1-9-2024.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing  Regions and Rakhine State,fairly widespread in  Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan,Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9 - 11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6 - 8 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYSLikelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
