23-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Kachin State, farily widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.91 inches in Meiktila, 2.52 inches in Minesat, 2.48 inches each in Gwa and Madauk, 2.28 inches in Manaung, 2.16 inches each in Shwekyin and Kawkareik, 1.76 inches in Thazi, 1.73 inches each in Pinlaung and Nyaunglaybin and 1.57 inches each in Mongyang and Myawaddy.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
