30-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 60 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.50 inches in Bogale, 2.20 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.69 inches in Pantanaw, 1.34 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 1.23 inches in Khayan, 1.18 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 1.14 inches each in Wettigan(Laydatpyin) and Myaungmya and 1.10 inches each in Putao and Paung.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Mon States. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
