23-12-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastern Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Coastal areas of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal, India. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 11-14 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph.  Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
