SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.25 inches in Paing Kyone, 2.95 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 2.48 inches in Thaton, 2.44 inches in Gwa, 2.20 inches in Ann, 2.12 inches in Hpa-an, 2.05 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.00 inches in Kangyidaunt, 1.89 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and 1.77 inches in Kamamaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
