24-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Southern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.97 inches in Putao, 1.89 inches in Myitkyina, 1.54 inches in Taunggu(Aviation-Met), 1.37 inches in Phyu, 1.34 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.25 inches in Bago, 1.14 inches each in Mogaung and Gwa, 1.06 inches in Phyarpon and 1.00 inches in Ngapudaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
