BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off North Odisha Coast) still persists. It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and moderate to strong over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th June 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.
