27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th June 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.  

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Continuations of increase of rain in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States.
