27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.03 inches in Hkamti, 2.44 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, 2.17 inches in Einme, 2.09 inches in Hainggyigyun, 2.00 inches each in Hpa-an and Chaungsone, 1.92 inches in Mawlamyine, 1.89 inches in Gwa, 1.82 inches in Manaung, 1.69 inches in Namsam(Southern Shan)and 1.57 inches in Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
