25-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
