25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Tanintharyi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.17 inches in Dawei, 4.09 inches each in Paung and Kyeikmayaw, 3.35 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), 2.95 inches in Maubin, 2.63 inches in Mawlamyine, 2.44 inches each in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri) and Madauk, 1.93 inches each in Shwekyin and Kyonpyaw, 1.85 inches in Ela, 1.81 inches in Pinlaung and 1.73 inches each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Gwa.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
