25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.74 inches each in Paung and Kyeikmayaw, 3.62 inches in Hpa-an, 3.11  inches in Kyaukpyu, 2.91 inches in Monyin, 2.84 inches in Mudon, 2.76 inches in Kyonpyaw, 2.65 inches in Hinthada, 2.60 inches in Lemyethna, 2.17 inches in Thaton, 2.13 inches in Manaung and 2.09 inches in Myingyan.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated Chin State, scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 - 35 mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and 6 - 8 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
