BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the North Bay and moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 1st June 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Nothern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region Southern Shan, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 - 35 mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 7 - 9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and 5 - 7 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
