25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kachin State and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region. Day temperatures were 2°C above May average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and 2°C below May average temperature in Kayin State, 3°C below May average temperature in Naypyitaw and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were observed 39.9°C in Myinmu, 38.4°C in Gangaw, 38.2°C in Chauk, 38.1°C each in Monywa and Myingyan, 38.0°C each in Shwebo, Yeu and Nyaung Oo, 37.3°C in Mingin and 37.2°C in Kalewa on 29-5-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.74 inches each in Bhamo, Monyin, 3.51 inches in Taunggu(Avia-Met), 2.56 inches in Madauk, 2.40 inches in Shwegu, 2.33 inches in Shwekyin, 2.08 inches in Dawei, 2.01 inches in Einme, 1.85 inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit and 1.45 inches in Myawaddy.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud the Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Upper Sgaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sgaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Northern Myanmar areas.
