BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong over the Eastcentral and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Nothern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States . Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts and 6-8 feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
