SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States. The significant day temperatures were observed 47.2°C in Chauk, 45.6°C in Minbu, 45.3°C each in Magway and Aunglan, 45.0°C each in Myinmu and Nyaung Oo, 44.9°C in Taungdwingyi, 44.3°C in Tada U(Aviation-Met), 44.2°C in Myingyan and 43.9°C in Sinbyugyun on 27-4-2024. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.16 inch in Machanbaw and 0.12 inch in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
