SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, scattered in Kayah State and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C in Chauk, 43°C each in Magway, Aunglan and Sinbyugyun and 42°C each in Sagaing, Meiktila, Myingyan, Naung Oo, Thazi(Hlaingtat), Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Tada U(Avia-Met), Minbu, Taungdwingyi, Ann, Pyay and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were 1.46 inches in Tatkon, 1.30 inches in Hap-an(Agro-Met), 0.98 inch in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), 0.86 inch in Naypyitaw Airport(Ela), 0.59 inch in Minseat, 0.47 inch in Laiway, 0.15 inch in Pyinmana and 0.11 inch in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Southern Shan, scattered in Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
