SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Kayah States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 46°C in Chauk, 44°C each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Taungdwingyi and 43°C each in Sagaing, Myinmu, Tada U(Aviation-Met), Gangaw and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.31 inch in Hkamti, 0.08 inch in Machanbaw and 0.04 inch in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Southern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
