SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan and Mon States and widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Madauk (2.56)inches, Shwekyin (2.32)inches, Thandwe (2.13)inches, Putao (1.89)inches, Nyaunglaybin (1.85)inches and Machanbaw (1.54)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayin and Mon States and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States.
