SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been generally fair in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States and 2°C above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Mon States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44°C in Chauk, 42°C each in Minbu, Magway and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.04 inch each in Machanbaw and Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: : Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st APRIL 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State.
