SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the East Central Bay and Deltaic areas of Myanmar. weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway and Yangon Regions, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Southern Shan and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (4.80)inches, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (4.33)inches, Naypyitaw(Yezin) (3.62) inches, Pyinmana(Walgyi) (3.27)inches, Heho (3.03)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.05)inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.81) inches, Tatkon (1.77)inches, Hpa-an (1.73)inches, Mawlamyine (1.65)inches and Hlaingbwe (1.52)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Bangladesh. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and East Central Bay and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in Taninthayi Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in along Myanmar Coast.
