SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Southern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Magway Region and Kachin, Chin States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) each in Kyaukmae and Heho, (4°C) each in Putao, Namsam(Southern Shan), Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke and (5°C) in Loilin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.20) inch in Kawthaung and (0.04) inch in Myeik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th January 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
