SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Kyaukmae, (4°C) each in Namsam(Southern Shan), Heho, Loilin, Mongyang, Hakha and Pyinoolwin and (5°C) each in Hsipaw, Pinlaung, Falam and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd January 2024: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
