17-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify and move West-Northwestwards and reach to Tamil Nadu Coasts, India during next 2 days. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.2) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (19) miles east of Kyauktaw), latitude 20.84°N, longitude 93.39°E, depth (7) kilometers, about (57) miles northeast of Sittwe seismological observatory was recorded at (21) hr (54) min (24) sec M.S.T on 12^th January, 2024.
