BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES:  According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Koniu” over the South China Sea may continue to move slowly Westwards and downgrade into a Tropical Storm“Koniu”.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 06th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in  Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
