SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (4°C) each in Putao, Loilin and Mongyang and (5°C) in Heho.  

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Generally fair in the whole country.
