BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVERNING OF THE 22nd August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in  Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State.Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squall with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (6-8) feet inoff and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine,Kayin, Mon States.
