SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State and isolated in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan (North and South), Rakhine and Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above November average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (12°C)each in Namsam and Hakha and (13°C)each in Putao, Mindat and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hmawbi (1.65)inches, Coco-Island (1.38)inches, Myeik (1.26)inches, Chaungsone (1.06)inches, Yangon (Northern Dagon) (0.91)inch, Bago and Hlegu (0.55)inch each and Yangon (Kaba-Aye), Pathein and Kawthaung (0.51)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Andaman Sea still persists. It is forecast to move West-Northwest wards and may further intensify into a Depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal during next (48)hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th November, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Bago Region, Southern Shan, Rakhine, kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
