SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Kachin, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.85 inches in Machanbaw, 1.81 inches in Mawlamyine, 1.80 inches in Bogale, 1.61 inches in Putao, 1.53 inches in Okpho, 1.23 inches in Myeik, 1.14 inches in Hinthada, 1.06 inches in Bago and 1.01 inches in Kawthaung. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the  Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th June 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
