According to the observations at 06:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression has crossed near Kyaikto in Myanmar moved North-Northwestwards and downgraded into a Land Depression. It is centered at about 30 miles South-Southeast of Phyu, 60 miles South-Southeast of Taunggu and 120 miles South-Southeast of Naypyitaw, Myanmar.Monsoon is strong to Vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the Northwest Bay, Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

They present risks, which can be high especially if they are ignored or proper precautions are not taken. The most common natural disasters that are experienced in Myanmar are tropical cyclone associated with surge, flood and drought.
Cyclones in the Bay of Bengal usually form in April, May, October and November. During the monsoon season, small cyclones form in the North Bay of Bengal. Pre-monsoon and post-monsoon storms are very destructive and cause a lot of damage.
