According to the observations at 06:30 hrs MST today, due to the monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, the strong development of the convective clouds and the unstable air condition over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal such as rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States during today morning to 23-9-2026.
Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

People should be awared are due to the monsoon strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, the strong development of the convective clouds and the unstable air conditions over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
