26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Warning

(Issued at 16:00 hrs M.S.T on 23-7-2026)

According to the 14:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittoung River at Toungoo is observed as more than 3½ feet below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 1 day.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Toungoo Township, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
