26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Warning

(Issued at 08:00 hrs M.S.T on 12-7-2026)

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Chindwin River at Homalin is observed as about ½ foot below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 12 hours.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Thaungyin River at Myawady is observed as more than 3 feet below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 1 day.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Homalin and Myawady Townships, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
