26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Warning

(Issued at 14:00 hrs M.S.T on 24-6-2026)

According to the 12:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Chindwin River at Homalin is observed as more than 2½ feet below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 36 hours.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Homalin Township, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
