8-9-2026:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the Southwest Bay, Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Warning

(Issued at 07:00 hrs M.S.T on 7-9-2026)

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Maesai Stream at Tachileik (Lawl Taw Kham Village) is observed as more than 3 feet 1 inch below its danger level. It may exceed about 6 inches above its danger level during the next 12 hours.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the stream banks and low lying areas in Tachileik Township, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
