(24.10.2026) According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to intensify into a Depression during next 18 hrs and move West- Northwestwards and intensify into a Deep Depression on 25-10-2026 and may reached over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm on 26-10-2026. It is likely to continue to move North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha coasts on 27-10-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude 4.7 (M) with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (9) miles north-northwest of Lahe), latitude 26.45°N, longitude 95.39°E, depth (95) kilometers, about (145) miles northwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (23)hr (36)min (16)sec M.S.T on 23rd October, 2026.
