Deep Depression Condition

          According to the observations at 5:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwest wards. It is crossing the North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha Coasts between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur close to Southwest Kalingapatnam (India).

         It is likely continue to cross and move North-Northwestwards and gradually weaken durning next 36 hours. Squalls with rough sea are likely at time in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
