COMPOUND :

PART ONE : According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu coasts has moved Northwestwards and intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG”. It is centered at about within half degree of Lat (13.4)°N and Long (81.0)°E.

PART TWO : Weather is cloudy over the North Bay, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 10.5°N – 16.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Scattered rain or thundershowers.

VISIBILITY : (4) nautical miles but (1) nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND : East or Southeast (10 - 15) kts at times (25 - 30)kts.

SEAS : Moderate to rough.

WAVE HEIGHT : (6-9)ft.

FORECAST FOR AREAS BETWEEN LAT. 16.5°N –20.5°N AND LONG. 92°E

WEATHER : Fairly widespread rain or thundershowers.

VISIBILITY : (4) nautical miles but (1) nautical mile in rain.

SURFACE WIND : East or Northeast (10 - 15) kts at times (25 - 30)kts.

SEAS : Moderate to rough.
