BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is Strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
