27-9-2026 Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak over elsewhere the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

El Niño Conditions News

Sea surface temperatures and atmospheric dynamics across the equatorial Tropical Pacific Ocean indicate very strong El Niño condition. Based on the evaluations from World Meteorological Organization and international climate centers, the highest El Niño conditions is likely to reach at the end of 2026.
Although El Niño is a phenomenon that occurs in the Pacific Ocean, its impacts can generally lead to irregular rainfall patterns, higher day temperatures, abnormal storm activity, drought and other extreme weather events in the upcoming summer season.
DMH will continue to provide real-time updates on the latest information regarding conditions associated with the El Niño phenomenon.
