BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest-Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts still persists. It is likely to move West- North westwards and across North Coastal Andhra Pradesh- South Odisha, India and become more marked during next 24 hours. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 12th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, Rakhine and Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
