BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Rakhine, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Chin State, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
