BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha- coasts- Jharkhand, India still persists. It is likely to move West- Northwestwards across the interior part of North Odisha - Jharkhand, India during next 48 hours. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
