Water level forecast for Second Dekad of August, 2026

The water levels may rise above the present water level by about 2-3½ feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, about 1-2 feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and Nyaung Oo and about 2½-4½ feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun of Ayeyarwady River.
The water levels may rise above the present water level by about 1-3 feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin and Mawlaik and the water level may fall below the present water level by about 1-2 feet at Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa of Chindwin River.
The water levels may rise above the present water level by about 2 feet at Hsipaw, about ½-1 foot at Shwesaryan and Myitnge of Dokhtawady River, about 2 feet at Taungoo and about ½ foot at Madauk of Sittaung River, about 1 foot at Shwegyin of Shwegyin River, about 1 foot at Zaungtu and about 4 feet at Bago of Bago River, about ½ foot at Hpaan of Thanlwin River, about 2 feet at Myawaddy of Thaungyin River, about 3½ feet at Ngathaing Chaung and about 1 foot each at Thabaung and Pathein of Ngawun River, about 1½ feet at Maubin of Toe River and about 2 feet at Bilin of Bilin River and the water level may fall below the present water level by about 1 feet at Kalay of Myittha River.
