BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 26th July 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Mandalay, , Lower Sagaing Regions , fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah , Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay,Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon , Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
