BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd July 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago,  Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine , Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
